Last night, TVB recorded Fun Three 1/2 Weeks's anniversary special, where many artists including Myolie Wu, Roger Kwok, Jazz Lam, Timmy Hung, Michael Tse, Eric Tsang, Louis Yuen, Kenneth Ma, Kate Tsui and Jason Chan participated. The artists reenacted the old anniversary skits done by Chow Yun Fat, Andy Lau, Tony Leung, Patrick Tang, Lydia Shum, which included 武松打虎 (1982), 朱門新怨 (1988), 一步一開心 (1988) and 呆佬拜壽 (1993). Myolie reenacted 一步一開心 with Roger Kwok, and almost lost her pants just like how Yumiko Cheng previously did during her Tung Wah Charity Show performance. 

When Myolie and the others were playing so hard on the slanted platform that they forgot about their appearances, Roger quickly goes and pulls Myolie's athletic pants off, making her reveal her fine waist and underwear. Myolie got so frightened she quickly got back on the ground and tied her pants tightly. At first, Myolie didn't believe her underwear was revealed, but when the others were able to say the color of her underwear, she laughed: "I didn't wear leopard panties today, whatever was revealed must just be the side, it's just the side of it. Phew, scared me! No problem! I'm very conservative. It was so much fun tonight, what's most important is viewers enjoy watching too. (Almost becoming a second Yumiko?) mm, I'm scared!" Jazz expressed on stage that her boyfriend Bosco Wong is hugging girls to upset her, but Myolie generously expressed it's just a joke, but if he dares to do that, she will have to ask Bosco himself. In the end, she kept asking again if it was really true she revealed her underwear. 

The other thriller happened to Timmy Hung. When he was performing 呆佬拜壽 , he kept tripping on the 'plum blossom stumps' and got pushed down by Yoyo Mung. Timmy ended up bumping his sensitive areas. He expressed: "I'm okay, I know how high that area is, relax, I can still have babies!" 

Another shocker was in 武松打虎, when Michael Tse kissed Louis on the lips. Everyone in the studio were shocked. Michael later expressed: "That's my surprise to Louis and the audience. If I said it before the fact, then it won't be fun anymore. That moment, audience were able to give us a reaction." How does Louis' lips feel? Michael laughed: "Smelled like lipstick, his lips were exceptionally soft."

Yesterday 329 TVB artists gathered together for the annual group photo. In the past at the TVB Anniversary Lighting Ceremony, the standing position of the artists represents their current status. Last year, former chairman Sir Run Run led over 120 artists for the group photo, but this year, with a new chairman and boss, things are a little different. 

TVB boss Chan Kwok Keung, executive chariman Norman Leung and the 329 artists took a large group photo together for the summer promotions (Amazing Summer) and for the cover on the 2013 TVB calendar. This year, the theme colors were red, green and blue, so the artists were told to dress in any of the three colors. Most of the first line Siu Sang and FaDans attended including Moses Chan, Myolie Wu, Fala Chen, Wayne Lai, Michael Tse, Raymond Lam, Linda Chung, Kate Tsui, Kenneth Ma, Ron Ng, Aimee Chan, Jason Chan, Roger Kwok, Ruco Chan, Selena Li, Kristal Tin, Natalie Tong, Mandy Wong, Nancy Wu, Shirley Yeung, Liza Wang, Carol Cheng, Nancy Sit, Eric Tsang, Nat Chan, Susanna Kwan and the former ATV artists Joey Meng and Alice Chan, etc. Some artists were unable to attend because they are either busy shooting series or working in Mainland, like Bosco Wong, Kevin Cheng, Tavia Yeung and Sharon Chan,etc. 

Former ATV artists, Joey Meng and Alice Chan were placed on the second and third rows. The two former 'ATV Big Sisters' meets again, Joey said: "It's a magnificent feeling, seeing so many colleagues at all at once. (Next time stand closer to the front row?) Let TVB arrange it, don't think too much. It's best to be stable." It was rumored Alice is getting neglected by TVB and only gets to stand in the third row, but she already felt satisfied and does not agree that she's being neglected. 

Myolie Wu promoted to TVB's Big Sister? 

Since past TVB FaDans Jessica Hsuan and Charmaine Sheh left, Myolie gets to stand near the middle of the front row, implying her Big Sister status. The previous second line artists, Selena Li, King Kong, Ruco Chan, Jason Chan and Alfred Hui were all moved to the front row. By this, we can see TVB is honestly lacking Siu Sang and FaDans. 

When asked about her Big Sister status? Myolie laughed and said: "As long as I get to stand somewhere." Then she sucked up to TVB: "This is called unity. I'm very happy today because we get paid and get a lucky red envelope. These events are good, very cohesive." Myolie continued and expressed Liza Wang and Carol Cheng are the true Big Sisters. As for Selena, who has been successfully promoted, she expressed she's thankful of TVB giving her the opportunities: "Let us, younger generations, stand in the front to show off our outfits. I'm very pleased to be able to stand in the first row, very difficult to stand there! (Stabled?) Hope so." She said her next goal is to get the Best Actress award. 

Leung Ka Kei & Priscilla Wong huge jump to the 2nd row 

Another focus at the event is iCable executive Sandy Yu's two favorites Leung Ka Kei and Priscilla Wong. Although the two are inexperience and aren't that well-known, they still got to stand in the second row, which clearly is better than long time TVB artists Grace Wong, Vivien Yeo and Jessie Shum, who were standing in the 6th row. 

TVB Deputy Director of Foreign Affairs (Tsang Sing Ming) expressed new show Fun Three 1/2 Weeks is a grand production in the Amazing Summer project. A large group of artists recorded for the TVB Anniversary version with four skits. The group photo will also be used for the cover of 2013's TVB calendar.

Linda Chung, Paul Chun, Cilla Lok and Eric Li attended Witness Insecurity's promotional event at the mall yesterday. It was announced that last week's ratings averaged at 31 points and peaked at 35 points. Linda had nearly a 100 fans at the mall supporting her; she performed the theme song and fed bread to fans. Kenneth Ma has been silently plowing through at TVB for 12 years. In the early years, he was an extra, playing bystanders and roles without a name. A few years later, he was given roles with names. Over the years he had just been seen as a good boy, boring audience and himself. Fortunately, in the recent years he accepted villain roles and has got positive response from the audience. Earlier in The Hippocratic Crush (THC), Kenneth makes a breakthrough based on his role as Dr. Cheung Yat Kin "Yat Kin Tau". 

Bored of the Good Boy Roles 

Kenneth is unsure of how to layout his acting career, but he believes its all about opportunities for artists: "To some extent, the success of THC came from my previous villain roles,Grace Under Fire, The Other Truth and The Life and Times of a Sentinel. It's been a long time since I've been a good boy, so being good again kept the fresh feelings. Its easier for villains to stand out. I've done too many good boy roles in the past, it was the same for about 6 or 7 years, everything was just too stable. I was bored of playing those roles, [viewers] were bored watching me in those roles. An artist needs to give viewers fresh feelings, so in 2007 my role in Survivor's Law II was a little different. I'm very pleased with that series, it was significant to me. The series reversed the impression producers and viewers had on me, and this is how I got more opportunities, such as the villain roles. Everyone had misunderstood me before, in fact, I am not that filial. Acting and being a person is the same, it's difficult to be a good person!" 

When speaking of Three Kingdoms RPG, Raymond Lam and Tavia Yeung are Kenneth's same co-stars as in The Mysteries of Love, both series were produced by former TVB senior producer Lau Kar Ho. Kenneth: "Kar Ho gor gives artists a lot of space. I am a person with a lot of opinions, but he was willing to listen and accept them." 

Tells Younger Generation its their time to Shine

However, Lau Kar Ho already left the company, as an artist, how does Kenneth see the current television crisis? Kenneth said: "Such a pity, but there's no choice, that is the politics. But, I would think this industry is pretty narrow. Those who left, perhaps in the next few years, they'll be back. An artist must not be too risky or be stuck in one place. Kenneth continues: "Those who left, of course they have their opportunities, but those who stay behind also have more opportunities. What others are saying, the lack of Siu Sang and FaDans, perhaps that is true. When I was shooting THC, I told the group of youngsters, this is a good opportunity for you, not for Ron Ng, Bosco Wong or myself, it is your opportunity because TVB have to shoot a certain amount of series each year and need people to do it." 

Came back to HK looking for a job, but no luck

Kenneth returned to HK from Canada in 1998. At the time, he thought he would be an engineer, but unfortunately the economy wasn't good at the time. He sent out many job applications, but didn't get one reply back. Then, he put his interest as a priority, and entered the TVB Artistes Training Class. Today, acting has become his life career. He has a special feeling towards the television industry. 

He said: "TVB is a school, when I first graduated, I had countless amount of NGs and my acting was bad, but I kept trying different styles, those that didn't work, then its bye bye." Kenneth recalls when he first graduated, he just couldn't memorize his lines: "I could not handle it at all. It was all based on luck that I could finish saying my lines. Today, when I get into position, my heart doesn't beat as fast anymore and I can put time into the planning." 

Time to advertise! Kenneth said Three Kingdoms RPG is a very fun series. Its fun to act and fun to watch. "An average time travel story is usually about a modern person traveling back to the ancient times and becomes very smart, but this time it's different. The modern man living in the ancient world without a cell phone, computer, car or technology basically cannot live. Modern people loves instant culture, being unfaithful in love, profit from others and have tons of bad habits. A modern man goes back to the past, and have to re-learn Chinese traditional practices, its actually meaningful education, good for a family of all ages to watch."

Vincent Wong joined Neway in 2005 as a singer, but unfortunately after two albums, his singing career was going no where. In 2008, he joined TVB where he was given many opportunities in acting. Following Gun Metal Grey, Vincent plays a cop in Tiger Cubs once again. Although both of his roles had a police family background, but the former had much more confidence than the latter. The public believes being able to portray a SDU officer is hot and that it's any actor's dream to get this role, but only he knows the suffers of this role. 

Vincent believes because SDU officers are 'hot', he has to look even fitter now. "Two months prior to shooting, the producer told me to start physical training. Since that time, each day for breakfast I ate 5 boiled eggs; lunch I had lean meat rice; afternoon tea I had potatoes; dinner steamed chicken. I was on that diet for 6 months until the end of shooting and I also had to do massive exercises. Also, the uniform and equipment were really heavy. Although it's not like the real thing 60 pounds, but we still had to carry 40 pounds, so that period was truly difficult, but that helped me get into character easier." 

As Vincent is often given wealthy roles, he frankly expressed he's also afraid viewers may get bored, "I could only try to put variation in each of my roles. Just like my role in the recently completed Silver Spoon, Sterling Shackles, I'm a rich kid again, but because I'm the illegitimate son, so there is a little evilness in me. I really like the role. Of course what I hope most is to be able to change my acting road, get different roles. Hope there will be this opportunity one day!" 

Yoyo Chen is like a lover 

Vincent has only been a father for two months and already feels pressured: "In the past, whatever I did, I just thought about whether I liked it or not, but now my daughter comes first. Whatever it may be, I think of my daughter first and I think far into the future. Currently my greatest wish is to save enough money to buy a home. I hope to give my daughter a better environment to grow up in. I feel I have matured and grew up!" 

29 year old Vincent, looks matured on the outside, but he's still a big kid on the inside. He laughed and said after his daughter was born, it's as if his wife Yoyo Chen has to look after another child. "I always say, Yoyo is like my big brother ('dai lo'), she's much more mature than I am. After we had our baby, we had less time together, but I still found my interests in life. Someone taught me, don't treat your wife as a wife, she should be like your lover and must maintain fresh feelings." 

Recently, Vincent has been in more series and his roles are getting bigger and bigger. It seems like he's getting heavily promoted, but he doesn't feel satisfied yet because he lost his singing career. "That time, I released two albums, then my career came to a halt. There was a period of time I had no confidence and always thought people were talking about me. I hid myself at home. Luckily, my former manager recommended me to join TVB, that's how I was able to develop my acting career."
