Bosco Wong & Eliza Sam Pleased "Coffee Cat Mama" Good Feedback Despite Low Ratings

Yesterday Eliza Sam attended a promotional event at the mall, while her co-star Bosco Wong was shooting the trailer for his new film. The two both expressed the Coffee Cat Mama ratings was affected by the long holiday break and are confident the ratings will go back up. They were happy the series had a lot of good feedback.

Eliza appeared at the event with a white low-cut spring dress on despite the cold weather. Asked if she's satisfied with the pay for this event? She expressed she's unsure of how much she's paid and will have to ask her manager. Eliza expressed she doesn't want to go anywhere now because she wants to concentrate on filming her new series because its her first costume drama. She said: "To a girl who has difficulty speaking Chinese, it is very challenging to say my ancient Chinese lines."

Regarding her new series Coffee Cat Mama's premiere ratings only averaged at 23 points, Eliza believed it was because of the Christmas holidays, many were not watching TV. Also, although the ratings were low, there has been a lot of good feedback from the audience. The series is only half way through its broadcast, she hopes the audience will give their support and she even took the opportunity to do some promotion, she expressed the series is extremely funny. Earlier Eliza won "Most Improved Actress" award at the TVB Anniversary Awards based on her tragic role in The Hippocratic Crush II. Is she worried Coffee Cat Mamamay drag down her popularity? Eliza said she's not worried because her two roles are different, On Call II was more about giving positive energy, while in Coffee Cat Mama, her role is more mischievous.

Meanwhile, Eliza's co-star Bosco Wong was coincidentally in the store nearby shooting a trailer for his new film Men Cannot Be Poor (男人唔可以窮) with Mainland actress Zhao Rong. Bosco felt Coffee Cat Mama ratings didn't do as well because of the holidays. He said: "I already knew the ratings won't be as good during Christmas, but luckily the audience feedback isn't bad." He just got back to HK from attending a New Year's countdown event in Chengdu. "Once the countdown was over, there was like 100+ people rushing up towards me asking for pictures and autographs, it was frightening and exciting at the same time. The security pulled me away, but then the 100+ people bombarded the car I was in. The security had to again make way for me to leave. I had some people touching my hands and legs, but not my private areas."

'Fan Kan' Cheung Wing Hong Announced Wife Angie Mak is 4 Months Pregnant

Fan Kan' Cheung Wing Hong Announced Wife Angie Mak is 4 Months Pregnant

The new year just started and the good news just keeps on coming. Yesterday Oscar Leung got married, and today the recently popular TVB actor Cheung Wing Hong, known as "Fan Kun" from Return of the Silver Tongue and "Fan Fat" in Coffee Cat Mama told [Sky Post] that he and his wife Angie Mak, an anchor on TVB's Scoop, is 4 months pregnant! The couple will soon be a family of three, Angie is expected to due in June.

Cheung Wing Hong's career had just started to pick up, and coincidentally he's going to be a father soon. Although he has a lot more responsibilities now, the couple still deeply believe everything will get better and better. Angie said: "I'll be taking on more hosting jobs later. In the past, we buy birthday gifts for each other, but this year we didn't. We are actively saving up for the baby." Cheung added: "I'm constantly imagining how I would play with the baby after he/she is born and we're even thinking about his/her future education. My wife is from the U.S, perhaps our baby will study abroad in the US. Of course, the most important is the baby has good health."

Known as Andy Lau's Godson

The baby has been bringing good fortune to his father. Cheung is in both of the current airing TVB series Return of the Silver Tongue and Coffee Cat Mama, which had been quite well-received. Many viewers greatly praised Cheung's two roles in both series are outstanding. He has been said to be the dark horse that will make a breakthrough as a TVB Siu Sang. Actually Cheung debuted 12 years ago after winning Andy Lau's appreciation and since then he had been known as Andy Lau's godson. Cheung's debut film was Give Them A Chance, a 2002 film directed by Herman Yau and later he appeared in several other major films such as Infernal Affairs II and Cat and Mouse. In 2006, Cheung joined TVB and became a television actor, he played minor roles for several years before gaining recognition in Three Kingdoms RPG. He said: "When I first started acting in TV series, I actually wasn't happy at all because I had to start all over again. One time, I played an eunuch for three months, but I was just standing there, like I was getting punished. I just had to keep telling myself, I am here to be an actor, not a superstar. Even if I had only one line in a series, then I will try my best to say that one line."

Cheung's Ah Q spirit has indeed kept him going, but the reality is, in order to survive one must have money. "About 4 years after I joined TVB, I began to wonder, if I keep going on like this, I basically can't survive. Fortunately I had an Uncle who has a factory in Mainland and asked me to go help him. I wanted to change professions with all my heart, so I agreed." Back then, Cheung was living in Tseung Kwan O. To get to work, he had to drive to Sheung Shui, then get on the train to Shenzhen and in the evening, he had to do the same thing to get home. Each day, he spent 4 hours commuting. "I endured through that long commute for two weeks and because I was too tired, I got into a car accident. That time I asked myself, if I just died like that, then shouldn't I do something I truly enjoy?"

Breakthrough: Foolish 'Fan Kan' in Three Kingdoms RPG

Cheung claimed he thinks pessimistically, but he's fortunate to have his rational other half Angie to encourage him. Angie said: "He was really unhappy, every night he goes out to drink. I told him: 'Life will have its ups and downs, you have the talent to be an actor, don't make it so hard on yourself by doing things you don't like to do.'" Cheung finally decided to go back into acting, "It was the first time in my life I took initiative to say to the producer: 'I'm coming back, do you have any jobs for me.'" Thereafter, Cheung got the role "Fan Kan" in Three Kingdoms RPG playing opposite of Kenneth Ma. The foolish and silly role finally caught the audience attention, people began to notice him and his jobs came one after another. He's just a step away from becoming a lead actor. You can say its double happiness for Cheung Wing Hong.

Bosco Wong & Tavia Yeung Crowned StarHub's TVB TV King & Queen

Last night a group of TVB artists flew to Singapore to attend the StarHub TVB Awards 2013. The attending artists included Bosco Wong, Tavia Yeung, Raymond Lam, Kate Tsui, Linda Chung, Kenneth Ma, Myolie Wu, Niki Chow, Jason Chan, Christine Kuo, Mandy Wong, Him Law, Ruco Chan, Grace Wong, Michelle Yim, Michael Miu and his wife Jamie Chik, Corinna Chamberlain, King Kong and Elaine Yiu. All attending artists got an award, making it a happy night for everyone. Bosco and Tavia were crowned StarHub's TV King and Queen and Triumph in the Skies II was the Best Series.

The most frightening of the night was when Christine Kuo appeared on the green carpet with Jason Chan. Christine seems to have put on a lot of weight, she had a double chin and had a very chubby figure. She looked like she's pregnant.

Kate Tsui was presented with two awards, the "My Favorite Character" and "Most Dazzling Female Artist" awards. She expressed: "I'm very happy, I get to take home awards and have a reunion with my fellow colleagues. (Do you have more confidence for the year-end TVB awards?) I have confidence in myself, but also have to rely on the right timing and place. I will keep working hard."

Going back to a few nights ago, former couple Myolie Wu and Bosco Wong appeared at the airport on the same day to depart to Singapore, but the two avoided to be on the same flight. Myolie denied that she feared to be on the same flight as Bosco, she explained because of her work schedule, she had to leave a little later.

"Lesbian" Kate Tsui Fights for Nancy Wu with Bosco Wong

"Lesbian" Kate Tsui Fights for Nancy Wu with Bosco Wong

Yesterday Bosco Wong, Kate Tsui, Nancy Wu, Sharon Chan, Elena Kong and Ben Wong attended TVB new series Midas blessing ceremony. The characters in this series will be entangled in a complicated relationship, Kate pursues Bosco's wife Nancy Wu and Bosco is going to have several girlfriends. Nancy disclosed the latest script revealed she'll have a passionate kiss scene with her ex-boyfriend Pal Sinn from the series.

Bosco said: "I heard from the scriptwriter, Kate's role pretends to be a TBG (lesbian) only because she wanted to take revenge on me. She may end up murdering me too. (Kate said you have many girlfriends?) Because I'm a 30+ financial expert in the series, I have a home, car, reputation and money. (You are the same in real life?) Thank you for giving me face! Although I have many girlfriends in this series, there won't be any kiss scenes. It will just be explained through the dialogue, I'm not as lucky as Chilam Cheung."

Because Kate still has the flu, she has not filmed the kiss scene with Nancy Wu yet. She said: "I think I have to kiss Toby Leung too. Since I'm not sure if these scenes could be broadcast, I am still considering. (Can you accept kissing a girl?) Never experienced it before. I had some contact when playing around with my friends. The plot is about me and Bosco fighting for Nancy. The relationships are just complicated, but something new."

Yesterday it was Nancy's 32nd birthday. She disclosed she'll be celebrating with her boyfriend and friends. As for having a kiss scene with Kate in the new series, Nancy said: "Actually, my current most fear is the passionate kiss with Pal Gor (Pal Sinn) because I call him 'Dad' in real life. For me to do this, I will have to get myself drunk. I'm more nervous about this kiss then the one with Kate. I just can't believe one mountain is higher than the previous mountain!"

Kate Tsui & Sharon Chan On Bad Terms Surfaces,

news from ; Source: Oriental Daily

Kate Tsui & Sharon Chan On Bad Terms Surfaces

Kate Tsui and Sharon Chan have been long time "old enemies" since The Beauty of the Game when they were rumored on bad terms. Yesterday the two attended the costume fitting of TVB new series Midas with the other cast including Bosco Wong, Nancy Wu, Ben Wong, Toby Leung and Fred Cheng. At last, this time Kate had good friends Bosco and Nancy by her side and won't be forced to "produce scenes" opposite of Sharon as in their previous series My Prime Lady, thus at the costume fitting, Kate and Sharon had zero interaction. Even when Sharon was introducing her character, Kate acted like she wasn't there as she continued to chat with Bosco and Nancy on the side. During the big group picture, Toby Leung was initially in between the ladies, but then she moved away. The two were forced to pretend and be friends, but quickly separated right after the picture!

Reporters later contacted Sharon to comment on the "zero interaction", she denied and said she had no comment. Kate tried to shift the attention to Bosco's rumors, she said: "I think Bosco has so many rumors, its nonstop! Its like a cramped subdivided flat. (But you've been at the door!) I was just a passerbyer. This time, I hope to create new sparks with him, but I'm determined to end the rumors! Actually, he is younger than me, I don't like young kids!" Bosco laughed off the "subdivided flat" analogy and said Kate is like luxury best selling home.

Meanwhile, the other rumored pair Bosco and Nancy played along and didn't seem to have been affected by their bad terms rumor. When Nancy introduced her role as Bosco's wife, she took initiative to link her arm with Bosco's and said he was her husband. Nancy expressed in her interview: "Bosco is very relaxed collaborating with me because he doesn't have to worry about spreading rumors. (Your boyfriend careless about Bosco?) I'm not necessarily within Bosco's options either! Perhaps I'll tell him to behave and just concentrate on work! (You guys didn't have rumors before?) He had one with Eliza Sam. We just had on bad terms rumor! But, that is still better than relationship related rumors."

When speaking of Kate portraying a lesbian in this series and that she'll have an ambiguous relationship with Nancy, she immediately sweet talked and praised Kate. She joked: "We may have a kiss scene, Kate is known to have tender lips. I can try out her little cushion, but it's not confirmed yet. After all, this topic is still on the sensitive side. Perhaps our line will just be implied."

Charmaine Sheh Return to TVB, TV Queens Myolie & Tavia Steps Aside

news from : Source: Mingpao, Oriental Daily

Charmaine Sheh Return to TVB, TV Queens Myolie & Tavia Steps Aside

TVB and TVBC (Shanghai Media Group) had a joint "TVB Clan Television Series Press Conference" at the 2013 China International Film & TV Programs Exhibition held in Beijing. TVB's Assistant General Manager Peter Au and other executives led 20+ artistes including many Siu Sang and FaDans -- Charmaine Sheh, Myolie Wu, Tavia Yeung, Wayne Lai, Moses Chan, Bosco Wong, Ron Ng, Kenneth Ma, Ruco Chan and other artists like Eddie Cheung, Him Law, Kathy Chow and Eliza Sam to promote 17 of TVB's new and upcoming series such as The Hippocratic Crush II, Triumph in the Skies II, Will Power, Mr. & Mrs. Bean, No Reserve, M Club and My Prime Lady.

It was widely rumored that Charmaine signed a 50 million RMB TVBC contract, making her part of the family again. Charmaine expressed: "The media exaggerated the dollar amount. I've been on break for 6 months, and now that I'm signing another contract, I don't want it to be a long one. TVB agreed to sign a 2 year contract with me, TVBC invests in Mainland productions as well, so I believe its better for my future development to be in both Mainland and HK. I will be shooting a TVB series in January."

During the big group picture, it was clear Charmaine still possessed the "TVB First Sister" title as she stood in the middle with Wayne Lai, even TV Queens Myolie and Tavia had to step aside. Last year hot favorite TV Queen candidate Kate Tsui stood in the second row, but she was fortunate to have her sexy low-cut dress to help her win the limelight back.

Former couple Myolie and Bosco had zero interaction, even if Myolie walked passed Bosco, he did not react at all. Asked if Bosco will date someone in the industry again? He said just leave it to fate. Reporters said he appeared awkward seeing Myolie again? He denied: "I occasionally show my concern to her and read some of her news online. I still keep in touch with her in private as well." Kate was asked since she frequently collaborates with Bosco, does she hope to be the new on-screen couple with him? Kate said: "Just a coincidence! But, we have collaborated in 5 series already. Bosco and I are impossible, he's like a sister to me."

Bosco Wong & Heung Heung Rumors Are Just for Laughs,

Bosco Wong & Heung Heung Rumors Are Just for Laughs

Yesterday Bosco Wong, Eliza Sam (Heung Heung), G.E.M and Mag Lam were recording for Super Trio Maximus. Rumored couple Bosco and Heung Heung were into the games despite their rumors. Asked about the rumor of ex-girlfriend Myolie Wu's good friend Nancy Wu stopping the two from reconciling, Bosco expressed he and Nancy keep in touch by texting and they go out for dinner. It has been a year since Bosco broke up with Myolie, asked if there is a chance they'll get back together? Bosco joked: "This is some 30 years ago, she's in Mainland filming now! (You don't have any new relationships?) No demands, not forcing anything. No new relationships now. (What about Heung Heung?) Just a rumor. I thought we wouldn't get any rumors, but unexpectedly it came towards the end. Its just for laughs." When speaking of Michael Miu's withdrawal from his new series Midas, Bosco disclosed he withdrew due to a personal reason, so the screen time had to be adjusted.

When one of the hosts, Louis Yuen, introduced Heung Heung, he said since her old and new rumored boyfriends Chin Kar Lok and Bosco are there with her, they are like in a "melting pot", but Heung Heung's Chinese wasn't so great, so she didn't understand what he meant. She exclaimed she need her teammates to explain to her. During the games, Heung Heung did not care about her rumors with Bosco, she was only worried about the tongue twisters.
